Tax Highlights of the 2010 Healthcare Reform Act

We will be discussing the Tax Highlights included in  the 2010 Healthcare Reform Act including:

Tax Changes affecting Individuals and Small Businesses, such as new Tax Credits available to certain small employers that provide insurance, new dependent care coverage,  the new Individual Mandate, penalties for employers not offering health insurance, Higher Medicare Taxes and surtax on High Income Taxpayers,  the new Medical Deduction Threshold,  the Requirement for Reporting Health Insurance on W-2s, as well as several other changes in the law and implementation dates.

Our speaker is Debra M. Alberdi, CPA

Debi Alberdi has over 25 years experience in the public accounting profession, beginning her profession in 1984, serving clients in Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay area since 1987. Her primary responsibilities include income tax planning, research and review for individuals and corporations, including small businesses and their owners. She represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue. Debi is a frequent CPE instructor and has significant experience with Florida sales and use tax issues. She is very knowledgeable in tax strategies and research and oversees the operational activities of the Tampa Bay office’s significant tax practice.
